LOCATION
Chaminade University of Honolulu is located in the state of Hawaii on the Island of Oahu. The campus is situated on a hill off Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki town on the south coast of the island. Chaminade University is near Ala Moana shopping center and Kahala Mall and approximately 9 miles from Honolulu International Airport. Grocery stores, banks, and many fabulous "local" eateries are all within walking distance from the campus. And two of Hawaii's most popular attractions are only three miles away; Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach.

SPORTS
Intercollegiate Sports
Chaminade University of Honolulu's intercollegiate athletic program competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II level. The University is one of six members that comprise the Pacific West Conference, which includes institutions from Hawaii, Montana and New Mexico, Sports teams include basketball, water polo, tennis, cross country, golf* for women. All athletes must meet NCAA requirements and should register and be certified by the NCAA initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse. Recreational Sports
Intramural sports and recreation are offered to all students, faculty, and staff. Coeducational intramural sports in a non-competitive atmosphere are designed to provide opportunities for enjoyable, organized activities. Diverse programming is geared to promote healthy lifestyles through physical fitness, social contacts, skill development, and competition.
Past offerings includes basketball, flag football, golf, windsurfing, volleyball, softball, tennis, fitness, weight training, billiards, table tennis, turkey trot, whiffle golf, horseback ridding, paintball, and aerobics.

HOUSING
Chaminade University of Honolulu's Residential Life Office provides residence hall facilities as a housing option for full-time day students. Approximately 411 students are accommodated in a variety of halls from traditional 4-person suites to upperclassmen apartments
Students who desire campus housing are urged to submit a housing application to the Residential Life Office along with the $300 deposit once they are accepted at Chaminade University. The deadline for guarantee housing is June 15 for fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester.

STUDY ABROAD
Study at Chaminade's Sister Universities
Students have the opportunity to study for a semester or two at one of the other Marianist universities, the University of Dayton or St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. Junior or Senior Semester(s) Abroad
Students at Chaminade University may pursue part of their undergraduate education in another country. Students desiring this option should seek information from their major advisor since some disciplines expect students to have completed specific course work before departure. Appropriate language training should also be completed.
Summer Study Abroad Program
The University of Dayton sponsors the Summer Study Abroad program. Courses are offered in Australia, England, Italy, Morocco, France, and Ireland. For more information contact the Office of Academic Advising at (808) 735 - 4815.**

FINANCING YOUR EDUCATION
The financial Aid Office administer all federal and institutional forms of aid and also coordinates the disbursement of many external sources of aid, such as outside scholarships. Approximately 96.1% of the student body receive some form of financial aid and financial assistance to students amounts to well over $15 million annually.
The following scholarship grants apply to full-time undergraduate day program students:
Freshmen Merit-Based Scholarship and Grant Programs
Awarded upon admission to the University and are renewable for three additional years:
- Regents Scholarship - $6000/year (High School Final Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 - 4.0).
- Presedential Scholarships - $5500/year (High School Final Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 - 3.49).
- Leadership Grants - $4500/year (High School Final Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 - 2.99).
Transfer Scholarships and Grant Programs
Renewable as long as the student maintains eligibility:
- Transfer Grants - $4000/year (Previous College (s) Final Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 - 4.0).
- Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship - $1000/year (Previous College (s) Final Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.75 - 4.0).

APPLYING FOR ADMISSIONS
Each Candidate seeking admissions to the undergraduate Day Progran must complete an application for admission. In addition to completing the admission application, a candidate needs to submit a personal statement, necessary official transcript (s), official test scores (when applicable), and the appropriate application fees (non-refundable). The application fee for undergraduate Day Programs is $50.00 with the paper application or $25.00 with the online application.
While the office of Admission operates on a "rolling" admission basis, the following dates are recommended to ensure adequate time for receipt and processing of all admission documents:
- Fall Semester: May 1
- Spring Semester: December 1

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Submit completed application form and personal statement.
- Submit $50.00 application fee (non-refundable).
- Submit required documents documents, stated below, based on your application status.
- Submit official test results.* Native speakers of English: take either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT). (If test results from the SAT or ACT are included on your official high school transcript, you are not required to have them sent from the testing service).
- Non-native speakers of English: take either the test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT).
- *Note: Does not apply to transfer students with more than 24 semester credits.
HIGH SCHOOL APPLICANT*
- Submit an official high school transcript directly from your high school.
TRANSFER APPLICANT*
- Submit official transcript (s) from each college/university attended and a list of courses in progress if applicable.
- If you have earned less than 24 semester credits, submit an official high school transcript and SAT or ACT score results.
HOME-SCHOOLED FRESHMAN APPLICANT*
- Submit official documentation of all high school courses attempted with corresponding grades of transcripts. If a General Education Diploma (GED) is available, submit the GED transcript. A GED is required in most cases if other documentation cannot be provided.
- Submit documentation or certification from a Department of Education or Board of Education that a formal home school curriculum has been completed.
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT***
- Send official, certified copies of all non-U.S. School transcripts/ gradesheets / marksheet/ exam results (for example, A-Level, O-Level, etc.) stamped with the official school seal to Ideal Perspective International, Inc.
